Location
Trevone Bay is located between Padstow and Harlyn Bay. The village of Trevone has two beaches, a sandy beach which is ideal for those lazy days by the sea.
Just over 2 miles from Padstow is Trevone Bay. Unlike many coastal villages, Trevone has a thriving local population who love to make visitors feel part of their community. During the summer months there are numerous village Fetes and activities, at which all are welcome.
Trevone has two lovely beaches surrounded by high cliffs on one side and big rocky ledges and outcrops on the other. One of the beaches has golden sand, sheltered coves and is perfect for children and adults alike who want to enjoy a beach holiday. Dogs are not permitted on this beach from Easter Day until the end of September. The other, (known locally as Rocky Beach), is a must for all those who like rock pools, crabs and fishing nets! At low tide , a natural swimming pool appears, particularly popular in the summer season.
The beach is recommended in the Marine Conservation Authority Good Beach Guide 2006, and has an Encams Seaside Award 2006. RNLI lifeguards are present throughout the summer season.
Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the stunning cliff path walks from Trevone can lead back to Padstow in one direction or towards Trevose Head and beyond in the other direction. Beware the 'Blow Hole' on the cliffs above the beach - a natural phenomenon, which draws onlookers from far and wide!
